Brabec before the barrage: I’m not nervous, I’ve already played something. We have a chance to succeed

Coufal, Čelůstka, Kalas, Bořil didn’t travel to the game because of injuries. Kadeřábek has retired again, Kúdela and Hovorka are just coming back from complicated injuries. All the back line mainstays are gone and the fate of the Czech national team must be taken into their own hands by others.
For example Jakub Brabec, who started 24 games with the lion on his chest. Of the stable defenders, he was almost alone in the nomination, so the defensive management will probably fall to him.
“I’m not nervous about it, I’ve already played some games. But I feel responsible every time I am called up to the national team. It is the goal of every player to represent his country, which of course brings with it responsibility, especially in a game like the one we have on Thursday. I’m looking forward to it, we’ll see if I play or not. Themost important thing will be to advance,” Brabec said in an interview with Goal.
The twenty-nine-year-old stopper left Plzen for Greece’s Aris in the summer, where he is a regular in the starting line-up. Moreover, he is fighting for the European Cup preliminary rounds with his side in the group stage.
Now, however, he is concentrating on the national team meeting, where the Czechs have to face Sweden. The northerners have a very full squad with players from the Premier League, La Liga and Bundesliga.
“I believe that if we approach it with maximum responsibility, commitment and tactical discipline, we have a chance to succeed. The first goal we score will definitely tell us a lot. If we could do that, it would be great,” Brabec said.
