Saturday’s Premier League schedule will feature a match between Bournemouth and Nottingham, alongside Liverpool and Chelsea, and thus a duel for salvation. What to expect from the confrontation between the 13th and 17th team in the table and what to bet on?

Bournemouth, as pre-season’s biggest relegation adept, have been under the blanket since December, losing all six of their post-World Cup games. From a quiet mid-table position, they are now 17th, just a point above the relegation zone.

Nottingham are thriving after the Qatar break. It has lost only one of its last five games, advancing to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup on penalties. They are 13th in the table but only five points clear of last place.

Bournemouth’s key figures

The home side rely on Danish midfielder Philip Billing, he has already scored four goals and one assist. Spurs striker and last year’s Championship star Dominic Solanke has struck four times and added three goal assists.

Key Nottingham players

Morgan Gibbs-White is coming into fine form, with the English offensive midfielder scoring two goals and assisting four.

Long-time mainstay and hard worker Ryan Yates operates at the heart of the midfield, scoring twice and assisting once.

Bournemouth are paying the price for a dysfunctional defence, with 41 goals conceded it is clearly the worst in the Premier League. In the last five games, they receive an average of 2.6 goals, while scoring only 0.4.

However, Nottingham are struggling in attack for a change. 15 goals scored is the lowest number in the competition after Wolverhampton, on the other hand, in December and January it is still enough for only one loss out of five games.

Given the improved form of Nottingham’s attack compared to the start of the season, the excellent performances of Gibbs-White, and the Solanke factor on the home side, we can expect both teams to score in this game.
