Bizarre at AFCON! The goalkeeper ran out of the box and fouled his opponent, but he quickly got up and helped the leading goal with a quick cross
While the Czech top league is still sleeping, the Asian and African championships are being played. And it was at AFCON last night that a truly bizarre goal was scored. The goalkeeper went outside the box and fouled his opponent. But he quickly got up, passed the ball to a teammate and the viral video was born.

A lot of clubs around the world don’t like the AFCON or the Asian Cup. The reason is simple, players disappear away from their clubs for a month and if there are more of them, it can greatly affect their season.
The AFCON is currently in full swing and during Wednesday we saw a rather bizarre stunt occur in the DR Congo vs Zambia clash.
The 23rd minute was played when Congo’s goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi-Nzau decided to run for the ball outside the penalty area. However, Patson Daka, who you may know from Leicester, was closer to the ball.
Mpasi-Nzau completely demolished his opponent. But Daka realised there was no time to dawdle and took brilliant advantage of the situation. He quickly ran onto the ball, played a cross and found a free Kings Kangwa.
So the referee didn’t even blow the whistle for a foul and Kangwa, with a shot from the first, managed to get the ball into an almost empty net. Zambia took the lead and celebrations broke out.
There was hardly any more bizarre action at the tournament, but the match eventually ended amicably when Brentford striker Yoane Wissa scored four minutes after Congo’s leading goal.
The other match in Group F was a clash between Morocco and Tanzania. The result probably came as no surprise, with Morocco taking all the points after winning 3-0. Romain Saïss, Azzedine Ounahi and Youssef En Nesyri scored.
