There is a big transfer bombshell on the horizon in the Premier League. Champions League winner with Chelsea Mason Mount has reportedly agreed a deal with Manchester United and is expected to move to the Red Devils.

This would be a very unpleasant transfer for Chelsea fans. Mason Mount is a Blues offspring, and after a loan spell at Vitesse, he is in his fourth year with Chelsea’s A-team.

Last season he scored 11 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League. But this year, along with the whole team came a big drop.

He played only 24 games in the league with a 3+2 record. But his performances have weakened a lot compared to the previous seasons, moreover, due to the big competition caused by the giant reinforcements he wasn’t even always in the starting lineup. In the Premier League he was in the starting line-up in 53% of games, in the Champions League in exactly half of them.

Thus, speculation began to breed that Mount was unhappy at Stamford Bridge and wanted to leave. Immediately, the 24-year-old midfielder’s name began to be linked with Arsenal or Manchester United

And it looks like everything is heading towards a move to Old Trafford. According to Sky Sports, Mount has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United.

Now, however, the Red Devils have yet to agree a deal with Chelsea. If the transfer were to happen, it would strengthen the midfield, which, although the Casemiro-Eriksen-Fernandes line-up looks solid, has virtually no replacements and needs competition.

Mount’s value, according to Transfermarkt, is €65 million. However, he is only under contract at Chelsea until the end of next season when he could leave for free, so the Blues can’t jump the gun in transfer negotiations.
