Octagon is doing a great job in our country and is slowly taking it abroad. Last year it finally headed beyond the borders of Czechoslovakia and this year it will take its expansion to the next level. The organization has received a nice award for its growth.

The Czechoslovakian number one is still relatively new and young on the MMA scene. Still, Oktagon is growing incredibly and its ambitions seem more and more boundless. This is of course only good.

There’s also been speculation for a while now that we’ll see an expansion abroad. And last year it actually happened, with Oktagon hosting two tournaments in Frankfurt, Germany.

They managed to sell out the Festhalle there twice and it was a huge milestone not only for the organization itself, but also for the whole of Germany and MMA there. All thanks to another Oktagon Challenge series, but this time in German.

In addition, we saw some fantastic tournaments in 2022. The one that received the biggest response was the one that took place on December 3 in Ostrava. In short, we can watch a job well done.

For this, Oktagon is slowly gaining a lot of recognition outside of Czechoslovakia. On one of the most prestigious and best servers dealing with combat sports, it even received an award for the best organization outside the United States.

It happened during the 8th annual FightBook MMA Awards. It is worth mentioning that the best organization ever was not the UFC, but surprisingly the PFL, where Viktor Peshta and Martina Jindrova fought.

It is not impossible that Oktagon will be ranked next year as well. After all, expansion to England is planned this year and there is much to look forward to.
