The Premier League is back, and so is the popular Fantasy Premier League game, involving not only fans from around the world, but also the stars of England’s top competition. There are some interesting situations to be seen. For example, the Burnley players entertained the fans with their move in the first round.

The first round of the Premier League is almost over, with only one match left to play. Manchester United take on Wolves on Monday night. It is of course also possible to join the Fantasy Premier League this season.

England’s top competition tries to make the game as interesting and attractive as possible. Players from English clubs are also involved, which makes for some interesting situations.

For example, now in the first round, Burnley players have already entertained the football community. The newcomer to the competition faced Manchester City in the first round on Friday. Erling Haaland came into the match from the very beginning.

The Norwegian striker is a very hot commodity in the Fantasy Premier League. He is basically a guarantee of points. And if you make him captain, the points he earns for you will be doubled.

It’s no wonder then that players who play in England’s top competition also choose him for their line-ups in the game. Burnley stars were no exception. No less than three of Vincent Kompany’s charges not only had Haaland in the line-up, but even elected him as captain.

Specifically, it was Josh Brownhill, Jack Cork and Arijanet Muric. For example, their teammate Dara O’Shea only had him on the bench, while goalkeeper James Trafford didn’t have him in the lineup at all.

So the football community has a lot to talk about. But there are also questions about what difference it makes to the betting that has now led to the suspension of Brentford star Ivan Toney. The explanation is simple though, there is no money at stake, so the footballers don’t actually have anything to win.
