On Saturday the third boxing event called This is Boxing will take place in Brno. In addition to professional fights, fans can look forward to an exhibition in which the legendary Lukáš Konečný will fight with three opponents. One of them will even be a woman.
This is Boxing III will take place this Saturday in Brno’s Sono Center. Boxing fans can look forward to 4 amateur fights and 13 professional fights. Two extra fights will be title fights.
The icing on the cake will be the exhibition, which will be headlined by Czech boxing legend Lukáš Konečný, who will face three different opponents in three rounds.
Konečný will face businessman Petros Karidis and former footballer Petr Švancara. The third opponent was supposed to be Jan Žampa, but he will not fight due to health problems.
Somewhat surprisingly, the singer of the band Eddie Stoilow will be replaced by a woman. Specifically, it will be boxer Liliana Kmentova.
“An offer came that was impossible to refuse. I’m going to have an exhibition with former world champion Lukas Konecny. The proceeds from the exhibition will go to a handicapped girl named Sofinka. I am very happy that I can box with a boxing legend and we will all help a good cause,” Kmentová said on Instagram.
Kmentova is grateful for the opportunity. According to her, she has a big problem with performing in front of an audience, so in the showcase she has a great opportunity to deal with the problem.
