The two teams had completely different paths through the group. While Belgium, after a very acceptable draw (Russia, Denmark, Finland), easily collected 9 points with a score of 7: 1, Portugal were worried to the last minutes in the group of death.
After a win against Hungary came a collapse with Germany (2::4), followed by a 2::2 draw with France sent Fernando Santos’ charges further out of third place.
For the Red Devils, the duo of Kevin De Bruyne – Romelu Lukaku are the most rampant. The architect of Manchester City with his passes regularly looks for the killer from Inter, which is not often wrong.
The Portuguese game, however, is a little behind expectations. Attacking stars Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva are not shining as they should, Joao Felix and Andre Silva have not been given the opportunity to do so for a change.
It’s all on the shoulders of captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already scored 5 goals, assisted one and is the top scorer of the championship. Of the seven goals he has scored, he has contributed to six of them, but only the first goal against Hungary.
In the match played in Seville, according to the bookmakers, Belgium is the bigger favourite with odds of 2.20. You can bet on Portugal to win at odds of 3.34.
Both teams have great offensive power, scoring goals is no problem for them. It is not for nothing that both teams are second behind the Netherlands in the number of goals scored (7).
Both teams can be expected to push through. On one side stands the icon Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other the extremely strong Romelu Lukaku. In a clash between the two top scorers of this season’s Serie A, both of them may well be able to make it through.
