Belarus had a good start to the qualification, winning 4:2 at home against the outsiders from Estonia. Since then, however, they have not picked up any more points.
Three days later, it lost 0:8 to Belgium, then fell to the Czech Republic, Wales, Belgium again and Estonia. Now it is just playing to avoid finishing last.
The Czech team has other plans, because they would like to go to the World Cup, but the chance to qualify from the first place no longer exists, so the barrage is next.
The team of coach Jaroslav Šilhavy will almost certainly play there. And even if they don’t finish second in the group, they would then go to the Nations League barrage.
But the Czech team wants second place and does not have too many points to be seeded in the barrage. However, a good score in the last two games can help.
Motivation for the match with Belarus is thus certain. Nothing but a win will do, and we need to win by a bigger margin.
That is what I would prefer to bet on for this match. That’s why I choose the winner Czech Republic with the higher number of goals.
