Beautiful! The Moto GP teams have revealed the shape of their new bikes for the 2022 season. What are their rider line-ups?

Yamaha, Pramac or Suzuki and others. The new season of Moto GP is fast approaching and some teams have already revealed the new bikes for the 2022 season! The new bikes are truly a joy to behold. How many teams and riders will enter the new season and what are the rider line-ups?

Twenty-four riders and twelve teams will be heading into the new season, with three of them being either brand new or rebranded teams. The factory brands this year will of course include Honda Repsol, Monster Energy Yamaha, Suzuki Ecstar, Ducati Lenovo Team, Red Bull KTM Factory Team and, newly, Aprilia Racing.

On the other hand, the Independent teams or non-factory brands will include LCR Honda, WithU Yamaha RNF, Pramac Racing, Tech 3 KTM, Gresini Racing and Valentino Rossi’s Mooney VR46 Racing Team.

And just the first team to reveal the colours of its new bike for the 2022 season was the Gresini Racing stable, for which Enea Bastianini and rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio will ride this year.

Then, during January, other stables also revealed the design of their new motorcycles. For example, this is what the new bikes of factory Red Bull KTM and non-factory Tech 3 KTM Racing look like. Here, too, we must not forget to mention the pilots who will ride these fast machines.

However, the Red Bull KTM rider line-up is unchanged, so the line-up will remain the same – Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira. It should be noted, both of them managed to win at least once in last year’s edition. Binder managed a hectic finish in Austria, while Oliveira won in Barcelona.

But the Tech 3 KTM team line-up is changing completely. From this year onwards, we will see a total of five newcomers in action, two of them in this very stable – Moto 2 class champion Remy Gardner and Moto 2 table runner-up Raúl Fernández.

They replace Danilo Petrucci, who took part in this year’s Dakar Rally, and Iker Lecuona, who left the team due to poor performance and poor results.

Apart from Red Bull KTM, the rider line-up will also remain unchanged at the Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP team, which revealed the shape of the new bike yesterday, February 7.

Fresh champion Fabio Quartararo will undoubtedly attack the overall championship again, with Italian Franco Morbidelli by his side.

The rider line-up at the Suzuki Ecstar stable also remains unchanged. The 2020 World Champion Joan Mir ended last year’s edition in third place, having accumulated 208 points in the process.

His teammate Alex Rins, however, did not have a very successful season. The Spanish driver finished twelfth with 99 points.

Although there are no significant changes in the colouring of the Suzuki, the Pramac Racing team has come up with a beautiful colouring. The driver duo, however, will also remain the same.

French rider Johann Zarco was named the best non-touring rider in the 2021 season, while Jorge Martin is again a great hope and an extremely fast and talented rider. The former finished fifth in the final standings of the 2021 season, while the Spaniard Martin finished ninth.

The last stable for which we already know the colouring for the upcoming season is the WithU Yamaha RNF Moto GP Team. Andrea Dovizioso and Darryn Binder will ride for this team in the new edition.

The former in particular made his debut in the royal cubature back in 2008 and has 15 wins to his credit so far. In a recent interview, he even declared that he and Yamaha are ready to fight for the title!

Binder was in the Moto3 category in the 2021 season, where he finished seventh with 136 points.

In the coming days, Moto GP fans will also see the unveiling of other teams. Specifically, already on February 7, the new Ducati Lenovo Team (Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller) will unveil a new motorcycle and the day after that the famous Honda Repsol (Marc Márquez, Pol Espargaro).

9. on February 2, the LCR Honda Castrol stable, whose colours will be defended next season by Alex Márquez and Takaaki Nakagami, will be unveiled. The rider line-up is unchanged from last year for either team.

The tenth of February will belong to the rebranded brand called Aprilia Racing, which will now fall under the factory teams. As in the previous edition, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales will be an integral part of the team.

Valentino Rossi’s team should then come full circle, but we don’t know the date of the official announcement yet. Luca Marini and rookie Marco Bezzecchi will make up the driver line-up.
