The Champions League is slowly but surely coming to a close. Only the top 8 teams in Europe are left in the most prestigious club competition in the world. And the quarter-finals will offer us some very interesting duels.
Chelsea and Benfica were the first to reach the quarter-finals, followed by Bayern Munich and AC Milan, and this week Manchester City and Inter Milan, as well as Real Madrid and Napoli.
For the first time in a long time, 3 Italian teams appear in the quarter-finals, with the Milanese giants complemented by Naples. England is represented by two teams (Manchester City, Chelsea), Spain (Real Madrid), Germany (Bayern) and Portugal (Benfica) have one each.
The quarter-final duels are scheduled for 11 and 12 April, with the rematches to be played just a week later, on 18 and 19 April. The semifinals are scheduled for April 9 and 10, and April 16 and 17, respectively. The final will be played in Istanbul on 10 June.
The quarter-finals will see Real Madrid play Chelsea in the Champions League for the third time in a row. Last year the two teams met in the quarter-finals, the year before in the semi-finals.
The biggest draw will clearly be the Manchester City-Bayern match. But the Italian duel between AC Milan and Naples will also be extremely interesting.
