Tottenham Hotspur fans are in for a tough summer. Filled with anticipation of what a change in the club’s head coach will bring, they must watch Bayern Munich try to claim their jewel.

The German champions have made the England marksman their number one attacking target, even though negotiating with club chairman Daniel Levy is perhaps a superhuman task.

The first offer, which was for 70 million euros plus possible bonuses, was immediately brushed off by the English club’s management. Apparently, the improved offer did not bring success either.

It was to be increased by a fixed ten million euros, but even that is unlikely to soften the Spurs chairman.

Fabrizio Romano reported on his Twitter account on Monday that Tottenham do not intend to accept the offer. Sources close to the club have confirmed to him that €80 million will definitely not be enough.

There is a buzz around the English striker perhaps every transfer window. One of the early bidders this year was Real Madrid, who were monitoring the situation around Kane especially shortly after Karim Benzema decided to leave the club.

However, it seems that the only really serious bidder now is Bayern Munich, who will continue to hope that they can bring the transfer to a successful conclusion.

The situation surrounding Harry Kane is all the more interesting as his current contract expires next year and Tottenham are currently at risk of losing him for free.

Levy, however, is confident and hopeful that the top goalscorer in the club’s history will decide to stay and try to break the record for goals scored in the Premier League, which is so far held by Alan Shearer.
