The Czech team was already sure to qualify for the barrier thanks to the Nations League. However, the game was about being seeded and avoiding a stronger opponent at least in the first match.

With Estonia, the selection of coach Jaroslav Šilhavy won 2: 0, but such a goal difference was not enough, moreover, Wales drew with Belgium, and so advancing among the seeded was a utopia.

“Personally, I would prefer if we got Wales or Scotland again. We have experience with them, even positive experience, that we could do it. Plus we have information about them, so the preparation would be easier. The boys have touched it and convinced themselves in those games that they have what it takes. It could play a psychological role and help,” Chytrý added.
