Barcelona vs. Granada: Preview and betting tips
Barcelona face their fourth league game of the season on Monday. They will welcome Granada to the Camp Nou, waiting for their first win. Will the Catalans confirm their role as clear favourites?
Barcelona face their fourth league game of the season on Monday. They will welcome Granada to the Camp Nou, who are waiting for their first win. Will the Catalans confirm their role as clear favourites?
Barcelona have not made an ideal start to the new season. It lost 0:3 to Bayern in the Champions League and is only eighth in the league, but on the other hand it has two games in hand against some teams.
Granada is much worse off. In the first four rounds, they have collected only two points for two draws, while last year they reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League with a similar squad. They are seventeenth in the table.
Memphis Depay has been performing well since the start of his new contract, with two league goals and one assist. Sergi Roberto has also scored two important league goals.
Granada have only scored twice so far and both times it was thanks to Colombian Luis Suarez. Left back Carlos Neva is also performing well.
Barcelona are struggling defensively, they have not kept a clean sheet since the start of the season and are averaging 1.75 goals per game.
Granada are not scoring again, a 0.5 goals per game average is something to think about, especially when they have played Villarreal, Valencia, Vallecano and Betis.
Given the poor form of Granada’s attack, I recommend a bet on Barcelona to win by two or more goals.
