After the Champions League, the Europa League already has the pairings for the first knockout round in the spring. The third-placed teams in the Champions League will face the second-placed teams in the Europa League.

After the Champions League, the Europa League already has the pairings for the first knockout round in the spring. The third-placed teams in the Champions League will face the second-placed teams in the Europa League.

Several big clubs will battle it out for the final in the Puskás Arena in Budapest. From the Champions League, Ajax, Barcelona, Salzburg, Sporting, Sevilla, Leverkusen, Shakhtar and Juventus have all been relegated to the Europa League.

These teams could face the second teams in the group and they are PSV, Rennes, AS Roma, Nantes, Union Berlin, Manchester United, Midtjylland and Monaco.

Definitely the most interesting duel will be the clash between Barcelona and Manchester United. Probably the toughest possible draw for the Catalans, from the first basket the Red Devils were the toughest opponent.

Nedved’s Juventus will take on Nantes. Sporting Lisbon, who were looking to reach the Champions League eight-finals, will play Midtjylland.

Shakhtar Donetsk will take on Rennes, while Ajax Amsterdam will play Bundesliga surprise Union Berlin. Bayer Leverkusen, featuring Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek, will play Monaco.

Sevilla, king of the Europa League will challenge PSV. In the last match, Salzburg and AS Rome will face off.

Ajax – Union Berlin
Bayer Leverkusen – Monaco

Salzburg – AS Rome

The duels will be played at the end of February, the rematches at the beginning of March. The teams relegated from the Champions League will play their first match, the return leg will be played on the ground of the team advancing from the Europa League group.
