Barcelona is preparing another lever and sale of rights. Money to help Messi’s arrival
Barcelona’s sporting plans for the coming season are based on whether the management can raise 200 million euros, either in revenue or by cutting costs. This is now the main objective of the club, which is preparing an economic viability plan that will soon be presented to LaLiga. If the union gives it the green light, the club will be able to try to make Messi’s return a reality.

Sale of 25%
To this end, the club has been working for several months on the sale of 24% of Barça. Last season, it sold 25% to Orpheus Media, owned by Jaume Roures, for €100 million.
It was the fourth lever the club was trying to use to get out of the serious financial situation it was in at the time. It now plans to sell the remaining percentage, which has already been approved by the Assembly, so the operation can be carried out at any time.
Up to 49% could be sold
The club is working with two scenarios. One would be the sale of the remaining 24%. Two professional audiovisual content production companies are interested in this share. And for 25% they will pay more than the 100 million the club raised a year ago.
The board knows that at the time they could have got more money for a quarter of Barça Studios, but time has pushed them. It needed to sell something urgently to raise money and to look around the market for reinforcements.
How much money could Barcelona raise?
At the moment, it’s hard to say exactly how much money Barcelona could raise. It also depends on how the sale turns out in the end. It could fetch around €150 million or more. What is certain, however, is that this sale would allow the club to have a significant income, and thus mitigate the losses incurred by the team’s departure to the Montjuïc stadium.
The arrival of Messi?
If the operation eventually takes place, it will bring much closer the return of Leo Messi to Barcelona. The Argentine is well aware of the club’s interest, but he is also aware that the club’s economic situation is very delicate. The club is looking for revenue, while the player is waiting for a contract extension offer from PSG and a fabulous offer from Arabia.
