Yet, constantly the media associate the Catalan big club with big transfers. Recently, Joan Laporta had to face speculation about the possible transfer of Erling Haaland. “We don’t need big transfers,” he dismissed the speculation in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.

Moreover, his target is quite clear. He wants to bring in team players who won’t disrupt the harmony in the squad. It is worth mentioning that this is exactly what he expects from Kylian Mbappé, for example, if he signs for Real Madrid.

But beyond possible arrivals, there is also talk of departures from the Catalan club. However, Joan Laporta also refutes these. Or rather, he admitted that there are offers coming in, but Barcelona are not going to accept them.

An offer of around €200 million has reportedly come in for 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, but to no avail. Recently, there was speculation abroad about PSG’s interest and exactly that amount.

“Likewise, we rejected offers that were aimed at Balde, Fermín, Pedri, De Jong, Araujo or Gavi. We don’t want to sell our stars,” the club boss said. But if anyone wants to leave, he will not prevent anyone.

In any case, Barcelona is counting on Ansu Fati, who is slowly getting into form at Brighton in England, to return to the team after the season. In addition, Laporta expects to keep the duo of Joao Cancelo and Joao Félix in Catalonia.

Both Portuguese players are only on loan at the club. They should continue to be guest deals for agreed sums.
