Barak: The next step? I want to join a club that will play the Champions League, for the title. My coach yelled at me that I could go to Real Madrid
Antonín Barák is having the season of his life. He is a star in Verona, with 8 goals and 3 assists, and it’s already his best season ever. He would like to move up to the next level.

You must have noticed Barak’s super feat in Serie A over the weekend. In the 4-1 win over Sassuolo he scored a hat trick and an assist.
He climbed to a tie for tenth place in the Serie A scorers’ table. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edin Džeko, Tammy Abraham and Mario Pasalic have the same number of goals. Only Scamacca, Zapata, Pedro, Berardi, Lautaro, Simeone, Vlahovic and Immobile have scored more goals.
Logically, Barak is thinking about the next step in his career. He celebrated his 27th birthday in December and it’s high time for a big transfer.
“I wish it. I want to go to a club that will play Champions League, I want to play for cups, titles. I feel that I’m getting into my best years of football and I would like to make that move, I’m ready for it in every aspect, and I believe I can still develop, move on. I’m absolutely happy in Verona, but I have ambitions,” said Barak in an interview with iSport.
If an offer does come, the Příbram offspring is sure that coach Tudor will not prevent him from leaving.
“At the end of October, when we beat Juventus, he was already screaming at me in his emotions that I can play for any club, even Real Madrid (laughs), but I feel a lot of confidence from him and he wants me to take the next step in my career,” Barák said.
Barák is absolutely happy in Verona, among other things he praises the great team spirit, which is not usual in Italy. Before this engagement, he spent half a season at Lecce and two and a half years at Udinese.
