The Czech national football team has won the group stage of the World Cup qualification with another victory, beating Belarus 1:0 by the smallest possible margin. What did his teammate Antonín Barák say about him?
The Czech national football team met for the first time since the Euros. Against Belarus they were the better team, although the performance was not optimal.
Nevertheless, thanks to Antonín Barák’s goal, we can celebrate a 1:0 win and another 3 points in the table. Adam Hložek also helped the national team with his quality performance.
He was one of the best players on the field and thanks to his good ball work he scored his first assist in the men’s national team.
“We know each other de facto very little, so our cooperation is excellent. We sat well together,” Barak said in a post-match interview.
“I have to praise him because he’s an extremely smart player. These are exactly the situations in which you know the quality of a football player. Adam will put it in exactly the right space at the right time and even stronger legs. Everything was exactly as it should be. With him, all you have to do is make a move and he knows exactly where to pass and what to do,” he added.
It was definitely Hložek’s best performance in the national team, in which he has been coming off the substitutes’ bench.
