Pavel Hapal opted for a three-stopper system in the summer. Eneo Bitri was very important in this system and he gained a solid position in the squad during the spring. But the Albanian footballer is on his way out of Banik.

Filip Blažek, Eneo Bitri and David Lischka. This is the stopper trio that Pavel Hapal has fielded most often in the new season and he wanted to continue to rely on it. He also preferred them over the talented Karel Pojezny and the experienced Michal Frydrych.

Baník wanted to continue to build on Bitri, who arrived in the winter from Albanian Partizani. The tough stopper won the trust of coach Hapal and the spectators during the spring with his courage, aggressiveness and especially his excellent success in header duels.

But he won’t stay in Ostrava for long and after only seven months he will move again. According to the daily iSport, an unspecified Norwegian club has activated a buyout clause for Bitri.

It was supposed to amount to CZK 8 million, but in the end both teams agreed that the amount would be slightly higher. Bitri was coming to Baník for about half of that.

Thus, Bitri’s departure is probably the reason why Hapal rejected Pojezny’s departure at the press conference after the match against Slavia. With David Lischka’s injury and Bitri’s departure, he is very close to the starting lineup now.

However, the Albanian tough guy’s departure will be an unpleasant blow for Baník and coach Hapal.
