Balde doesn’t like the life of a famous football player. I don’t want to be the centre of attention, says Barcelona’s rising star

The talented Alejandro Balde is making his way into the Barcelona starting line-up, replacing the experienced Jordi Alba. But as the young Spanish full-back himself admits, the lifestyle of a famous footballer is not for him.
Alejandro Balde is undoubtedly one of the comets of the current era. Only 19 years old, the Spaniard has impressed so much with his performances that he has taken the experienced Jordi Alba out of the line-up for some matches.
Balde receives a lot of trust from coach Xavi. He is thus another product of the famous La Masia academy and it must be noted that Balde has also contributed significantly to the great defensive statistics that Barcelona can now boast.
However, all is not as sun-drenched in Balde’s life as it might seem. In an interview with Spanish Sport, the footballer himself admitted that he doesn’t want to live the lifestyle of a celebrity.
Alejandro Balde’s popularity has increased significantly after he was called up at the last minute to the Spanish national team for the World Cup in Qatar. If until then he was known mainly by Barcelona fans, now he has become known to all football fans in Spain.
But fame is not what Balde seeks. ” I try to do the same things as before, but it’s true that when I’m out and about, people recognise me,” Balde said in an interview.
The Spanish footballer admitted that he is not very comfortable with such popularity. “I don’t like people getting to know me too much on the street because sometimes you want to be alone and quiet, but people don’t let you do that. But these are things I have to deal with,” Balde added.
Unfortunately for Balde, it’s one of the things professional footballers have to reckon with. “Yes, but I don’t like it,” the 19-year-old footballer replied to a reporter when asked this question.
In recent games, Balde has been playing mostly in the starting lineup and has been contributing to the great defensive work of his team. Barcelona have received only seven goals from twenty-one league games and may well have the best season in the club’s history in this respect.
