Even when Alexander Bah came to Slavia and played a few games, it was clear to everyone that this kid was aiming high. After a year and a half, he left for Benfica Lisbon, where after a year he can make another jump. To Arsenal in London.

Baha’s career has been rising step by step. He went from the lower league in Koge, Denmark, to the first league, where he played a brilliant two and a half years for Sonderjyske. So it was time for another rise to Prague’s Slavia.

He reached the quarter-finals of the European and Conference League, won a double and impressed the European giants. In the summer of 2022, Benfica Lisbon came to Prague for him, where he immediately joined the starting line-up.

He performed brilliantly throughout the season and was highly praised by the fans, recording a 1+6 record during the season and playing in the Champions League quarter-finals.

And maybe he won’t have to wait long for another rise. After just one year in Portugal, there is already talk of a move on. According to the Danish daily Tips Bladet, Arsenal are interested in the ex-Slav player.

The London giant would like to sign Baha before the end of the transfer window, which ends on Friday. Arsenal have some problems with the right-back position, with defensive midfielder Thomas Partey starting the new season, which is not an ideal solution.

But Bah would cost Arsenal roughly £28 million. A nice chunk of that would flow to Eden as well, as Slavia have a percentage of the resale money.

However, the whole transfer is rather less likely. Benfica probably won’t let go of their important starting lineup player the day before the transfer window ends without having a replacement ready. Even so, it is a good sign for Baha that big clubs are interested in him.
