The fire has ignited and is beginning to reach its maximum height. In the UK, the “racism” of the Spartan children has hit the mainstream media. Anti-czech sentiment is spreading online and society continues to divide. The whole case shows how the worlds of imaginary Western and Eastern civilisations are still quite different.

The only difference between the two worlds is that we do not forcefully impose our “Eastern world” on anyone and do not say that it is correct. On the other hand, the British media obviously feel obliged to educate, to change the inferior people of the East. At the very least, that’s what it looks like to an unbiased, emotionally mature person.

The whole affair was caused by children’s fans booing Glen Kamara. No monkey screams, just boos, which every controversial footballer, regardless of his skin colour, has experienced in his career. Just think of David Limbersky at Letná, did he ever complain to the media space?

The Czech Republic’s top officials have also weighed in on the whole situation, which seeks to paint Czechs and Czech children as racists, namely Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Deputy Prime Minister Jan Hamáček and Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek.

What did the top Czech politicians tweet? Can their intervention calm the situation?
