AS Rome vs. Slavia Prague analysis, preview
AS Roma is an Italian stalwart, although they won the league title for the last time in the 2000-01 season and only three times in their history. However, it regularly ranks among the league’s best sides, finishing sixth last season and reaching the Europa League final.
The current season is not much better in the league, at the same time coach Jose Mourinho’s squad holds seventh place with 14 points due to a terrible start. They are currently eight points behind leaders Inter.
As far as Europe is concerned, Rome is confident in that one for the time being. They first beat Sheriff Tiraspol 2-1 in Moldova and then blasted Servette 4-0 at home. He would like to get a similar result against Slavia, who are not in optimal form.
Coach Jindřich Trpišovský’s team lost the title again at the end of the season and in the current one they are picking up win after win, but their performance is not as good as in the past. Slavia is currently second, two points behind the leader Sparta.
In the Europa League, however, it is 100 percent, first beating Servette 2-0 in Switzerland and then absolutely blasting Sheriff 6-0 at home. Thanks to this match, the player of the round was forward Mojmír Chytil.
AS Rome vs. Slavia Prague odds, betting tips
What to bet on in this match? Both teams are 100% and the Italians are well aware that promotion from first place gives them much more confidence heading into the spring.
That’s why they won’t drop this game. So it will all depend on Slavia if they can keep up their solid defence, which has been working quite well for them this season.
Still, it should be mentioned that the odds for AS to win are simply tempting and if you are not a die-hard Slavist, they will probably interest you as well. You can also improve it by betting on a higher number of goals.
