AS Rome destroyed Lazio 3-0 in the Derby della Capitale! Tammy Abraham rewrites history

For the 156th time in Serie A, irreconcilable rivals AS Roma and Lazio Rome fought each other. The football world was thus able to witness another chapter in the history-laden Derby della Capitale. It was a great match, which was enjoyed more by AS fans, whose team won a valuable 3:0 victory.

In the 67th minute, AS threatened again. The home fans were ready to celebrate a hat-trick by Abraham, who was brilliantly sent in behind the Lazio defence by Bryan Cristante, but the young Englishman missed the target this time.

In the 80th minute, substitute Cataldi took a direct kick for the visitors, but missed the chance to emulate Pellegrini’s parade, his shot flying high over the bar.

Maurizio Sarri’s charges could do no more and AS Rome were able to enjoy a very convincing 3-0 victory and revenge – they lost the previous derby this season 2-3.

The result undoubtedly pleased the legendary Totti, who was not absent from the stadium.

In addition, the Giallorossi leapfrogged their rivals in the table by gaining 3 points and took the 5th place guaranteeing the Europa League.

Moreover, the Champions League is not extremely distant either, the team is 8 points behind the 4th place.

AS Roma will play Sampdoria in the next round and will be looking to build on the derby result. Lazio will try to put today’s humiliation behind them in their home game against Sassuolo.
