AS Roma vs. Lecce: Preview and betting tips
The Coppa Italia semi-final will pit AS Roma, led by José Mourinho, and Lecce, who play in Italy’s second highest league, against each other. The Romans enter the duel as the favourite and should easily handle Lecce.
AS Rome has not been in the best of form recently. Out of the last five matches, it has managed to win twice, draw once and lose twice. His games are rich in goals, scoring 11 and conceding 9.
In the league, Jose Mourinho’s team is in the seventh position. However, at the beginning of the season he imagined a much better position, so there is still a lot of work to do before the end of the season. In the cup, the Romans have not come across any opponents so far, they had a free draw.
Second division Lecce managed to win three times, draw once and lose once in their last five matches. It has a nice record, having scored 10 goals and conceded only 4. It is in fifth position in Serie B, which guarantees the fight for promotion to the top league. Lecce has already knocked out two teams in the cup, Parma and Spezia.
The favourite is clearly the home team AS Rome, which is not doing well in the league and will therefore want to improve its form at least in the cup and fight for the trophy. Lecce managed to beat two opponents, but Rome is playing at a higher level.
Both teams have great statistics in terms of goals scored, so we can expect a duel in which more goals will be scored. For example, Abraham plays for Rome, while Strefezza and Coda score for Lecce.
We can look forward to an interesting duel, in which AS Rome will most likely qualify. Its opponent can threaten the favourite, but the Romans will keep the promotion.
