Arsenal missed their first Champions League goal and after a 0:3 loss to Tottenham, they are now one point behind their biggest rival. Harry Kane scored twice and Heung Min Son added a third.

The start of the match didn’t offer any big chances, only a small quarrel between Heung Min Son and Rob Holding. The home forward didn’t like Holding’s aggression. In the 20th minute, Son was fouled in the penalty area by Cedric Soares and a penalty was whistled.

Harry Kane took the ball and converted with aplomb. The England captain was on hand next, his 27th minute shot blocked by Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Six minutes later, another complication for the visitors. Holding elbowed Sona and received a second yellow card.

And in the 38th minute it was two goals down. After a corner kick, Kane appeared at the back post and simply put the ball in the net. At the other end, Eddie Nketiah was brave, but Hugo Lloris cleared his shot for a corner.

Immediately after the change of sides, the Gunners’ hopes were dashed when Son took a well-placed shot that gave Aaron Ramsdale no chance. Spurs dominated the powerplay, with another fierce shot from Kane having to be dealt with by the visitors’ goalkeeper.

Arsenal still tried to do something about the result, but two shots by Martin Odegaard were caught by Lloris. Tottenham won the North London derby 3:0 and are now only a point behind the Gunners in the table. Two rounds to go.
