Arsenal will play their FA Cup match against Liverpool in a special set of white jerseys. Red will disappear completely from the Gunners’ traditional colours as part of the No More Red campaign to tackle crime in London.

Arsenal continue their No More Red campaign

The No More Red project in conjunction with Arsenal and Adidas was launched in 2022. The campaign fights crime and primarily targets teenagers in London.

The main reason for the project was the repeated crimes related to assault. In fact, between June 2020 and June 2021, more than 10,000 crimes took place in London. Arsenal’s main objective is financial support.

The London club is trying to create a safer environment for juveniles in their city. It should be noted that the project has been very successful and a number of celebrities have become involved.

“No More Red is a unique opportunity to highlight nearly four decades of work we have done for the local community, which has helped to keep thousands of young people safe,” said Arsenal’s chairman Freddie Hudson.

“Since 2022, when we first launched No More Red, we have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our supporters to contribute to the initiative,” he added.

The Gunners will be at home without their traditional red jerseys

Arsenal will wear white jerseys in the FA Cup match against Liverpool on 7 January at 17:30. The traditional colour will therefore disappear completely. This is a reminder not to shed blood unnecessarily.

The first time the Gunners appeared in all-white jerseys was at the inception of the No More Red project, and it was also a match in the club’s oldest competition. Arsenal lost to Nottingham 0-1 on their turf. This time it will be the first presentation of this set of jerseys at the Emirates Stadium.

Sadly for the fans of the London team may be that these jerseys will not be for sale. After the game, Arsenal will hand over the special kit to the company that is also involved in this project. The Londoners say that everyone can get involved in the No More Red campaign and support the project.
