Arsenal vs. Norwich: Preview and betting tips
The third round will offer a last to penultimate match, who would have guessed before the season that it would be Arsenal v Norwich. Which of the two struggling sides will get their first league points of the year?
Enough has already been written about the woeful situation in north London. Still, it’s worth mentioning that the Canaries are last without a point after three rounds and with a terrible 0::9 score.
Newcomer Norwich is in the same position. Only thanks to a better score, they are nineteenth, but in their defence, we must admit that the Canaries had a hell of a draw to start the season (Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester City).
It’s hard to praise anyone in the Arsenal squad, Sambi Lokonga is having a sympathetic start to his new engagement, Emile Smith-Rowe is also struggling. More is expected from Nicolas Pepe or Kieran Tierney.
The two worst offensive teams will face off on Saturday, as Norwich have only scored once so far, with Teemu Pukki delighting from the penalty spot. Midfielder Todd Cantwell and fullback Max Aarons also had good performances.
If we look at the preliminary games, we can see that Arsenal have scored more than one goal in only one of the last six games.
It is Norwich who are more troubled defensively, getting two or more goals in four of their last five games, an average of 2.6.
Given Martin Odegaard’s excellent performance at the Norway national team reunion, I think Arsenal will win by two or more goals thanks to his individual quality.
