Arsenal have been playing fantastically this season, losing only two games all season. They are in first place in the league with a two-point lead. In their last match, the Gunners managed to win 5: 0 against Nottingham.
This is a very important victory for Arsenal in its history, as it is the 300th win at the Emirates Stadium.
In 2006, Arsenal moved from Highbury to the Emirates, where the new history of the club began to be written. The Canaries played their first game there against Aston Villa and it ended in a draw. However, the next match was a winning one, they beat Zagreb 2-1 in the Champions League.
After five years, the club was able to celebrate its first milestone in the new stadium. 2011 saw Arsenal’s 100th victory at the Emirates. It was a 1-0 win against Udinese in the Champions League. Victory number 200 came in 2017, when Arsenal beat Lincoln City 5: 0 at home in the FA Cup.
So now the three hundredth win has occurred and Arsenal can bite the fourth hundredth right away on Thursday. They will play Zurich in the Europa League. This match will be the 450th game Arsenal have played at the Emirates Stadium, reaching another round milestone.
Of the 300 home games won so far, the Gunners have won 203 times in the Premier League, 37 in the Champions League, 22 in the League Cup, 21 in the FA Cup and 17 in the Europa League.
Arsenal’s most popular opponents at the Emirates are Newcastle, who have lost 15 times here, Tottenham and West Ham, teams who have come out empty-handed in 13 matches.
