Brighton beat Arsenal in Saturday night’s game, but it was only enough for a goalless draw. Arsenal thus failed to build on their three wins from the last three rounds, while Brighton extended their unbeaten streak to four games.

Bukayo Saka flashed a nice cross in the first minute, but then hit only the centre of the home goal. Brighton then began to go on a rampage, but were inaccurate in the final stages. It wasn’t until the 20th minute that Lewis Dunk had a great chance, but he headed over in a slip.

In the 37th minute another stopper headed, but even Shane Duffy didn’t hit the space of the net, only splitting the side netting. It was a goalless draw, mainly due to the home side’s shooting ineptitude.

After the change of sides Jakub Moder shot, but even the ninth shot of the Racks did not go between the three bars. The second half wasn’t too exciting thanks to the heavy rain, in the 64th minute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a breakaway chance, he chose the wrong option on the edge of the box and didn’t threaten the goal.

In the 75th minute, Emile Smith-Rowe went alone at the goalkeeper, but Robert Sanchez made a good save. Brighton had two chances late on, Solly March’s shot was caught by Aaron Ramsdale and Duffy missed with a header a few minutes later.

The points were shared after the 0:0 draw, Brighton jumped to fifth place in the table, Arsenal to ninth.
