On Wednesday night, Arsenal and Sevilla played their second Champions League Group B match in London. Just like two weeks ago, the Gunners won this time 2:0. The goals were scored by Trossard and Saka.

During the opening ten minutes, two Arsenal players got headers after standard situations. Havertz after a corner and Gabriel after a direct free kick were not very successful.

Then in the 18th minute Saka shot from outside the box after a foul was whistled, but his attempt from an interesting position was also inaccurate. The Gunners continued to dominate the game, and in the 24th minute, White had the first shot, but it went over the bar. Jorginho’s shot went the same way moments later.

In the 30th minute, the home side were in goal after some neat action. Jorginho sent a through pass into the box, where Saka passed to Leandro Trossard, who calmly cleared the ball into the net.

The score remained unchanged until the half-time break. Coach Mikel Arteta’s charges went into the booths as the leading team and deservedly so. They did not allow their opponents to take a single shot and their ball possession statistic was 68%.

Arsenal went into the second half with a changed line-up. Olexandr Zinchenko replaced Takehir Tomiyasu in the defensive line. 49th minute brought another chance for the Londoners. Havertz’s finish after a quick attack was cleared off the three posts.

Kai Havertz tried to score again in the 55th minute, but his interesting shot was again wide of the target. Trossard missed it five minutes later.

In the 64th minute, the home team made a breakthrough after a penalty corner. The active Martinelli sent in the onrushing Bukay Saku, who beat goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic in the penalty area with his left foot. This brings the score to 2: 0.

Sevilla did not manage to make the rest of the game more dramatic. The only shot was scored at the end of the set-up, but goalkeeper David Raya intervened reliably against Díaz.

Arsenal supporters can only be concerned about the early withdrawal of the goal and assist by Saka, who seemed to have made a bad tackle at the end. The question is how serious the injury is.

The English side leads the table in Group B with nine points, while the Spanish side is in last place with two. PSV Eindhoven won 1-0 against Lens in a match played in parallel. Both teams are now on five points.
