Arsenal have been going through a process for a couple of seasons now that seems to be nearing its conclusion. In the summer it brought in Gabriel Jesus or Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City to complete a very talented and interesting squad.
His quality was already evident in the preparation. The Gunners lost only one of their seven games. They managed to beat Ipswich, Nuremberg, Everton, Orlando City, Chelsea and now Sevilla. The only one they haven’t beaten is Brentford.
They beat Chelsea 4-0 a week ago and on Saturday they beat Sevilla, who they literally ran over. Not only in terms of results, but also in terms of play. Arsenal defeated the Andalusian team 6:0, allowing the opponent a single shot between the three bars.
Arsenal themselves had 21 shots in total, 12 went between the three poles and 6 of them ended up in the net. In the 19th minute, the score was already 4:0 on the scoreboard. The stars of the match were Gabriel Jesus, who scored a hat-trick, and Bukayo Saka, who scored two goals.
Saka opened the scoring in the 10th minute from a penalty. Jesus scored his first goal at Emirates Stadium three minutes later.
The Brazilian added another goal in the 15th minute when he was fed by compatriot Gabriel Martinelli.
The fourth goal of the match was scored by Saka, who increased the lead to 4-0 in the 19th minute.
Jesus then completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute.
Eddie Nketiah made it 6-0 after a great pass from Martinelli.
