A win the Gunners badly needed. Arsenal managed to win Saturday’s game at Molineux Stadium with a 2:0 win to improve their spirits after defeats to Aston Villa and Bayern Munich. How are Gunners fans reacting to the result?

Arsenal couldn’t expect an easy game at Molineux Stadium, after all they have lost to Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea here this season. However, they scored an important opening goal before the end of the first half and added an insurance goal in stoppage time.

The starlet without productivity

Bukayo Saka has the label of a player not to be disliked in England. He had his only spell of misery after a missed penalty in the 2021 European Championship final, but alongside the racist abuse, he has also received support from many English footballing figures.

Saka has come a long way since then, not just in terms of converting penalties. He has been indispensable to the national team and Arsenal, and is the only one, along with Martin Odegaard, who is virtually assured of a place in the line-up in the long term.

“Saka is so tired. Let the boy rest,” reacted Arsenal fan Hamza in a liked comment under an Instagram post to the Englishman’s weaker performances in recent weeks.

Saka has continued to break one record after another this season, but has scored just one goal in the past five rounds despite playing in all of them from the opening minute. On the other hand, it can’t be said that poor form is related to poor productivity. Saka is still dangerous.

The midfield that has been longed for

When Granit Xhaka left in the summer and the club signed Declan Rice, the fans were looking forward to a central trio of Martin Odegaard, Rice, Thomas Partey. However, the third mentioned has missed most of the season so far, so the trio has not met properly.

“Arteta, please, in the next games, start Odegaard, Rice and Partey from the first minute, ” a Nizz supporter alluded to the performance of this trio in the final phase of the game against Wolves. For the first time since his return, Thomas gave the kind of performance Gunners fans are used to seeing from him.
