Aris Limassol vs. Rakow: Preview and betting tips

If Sparta advance past Copenhagen, they will face the winner of the Aris Limassol vs. Rakow double-header in the Champions League play-offs. This match is also open before the rematch, as the Polish champion beat the Cypriots 2-1 at home.

Aris has not yet started the league in Cyprus, unbeaten until the match against Rakow. It won the domestic Super Cup, then twice crossed Bate Borisov, which on the other hand went down significantly in quality in recent years.

Rakow is losing in the league, but the impact is saving the supports for the Champions League. Last season’s champion is doing well in the millionaire competition, drawing and winning against cup regular Karabakh, and now beating Aris at home by a goal.

Aris is following the motto “the more goals we score, the more points we have”. This is reflected in the defence, which is far from 100%. They have scored more than once in five of their last seven games across all competitions.

Rakow, on the other hand, are doing well in the cups, winning seven of their nine cup qualifying matches since the start of last season. It lost only for the promotion draw in Karabakh and in last year’s loss to Slavia.

Considering the home side’s struggling defence, Rakow’s impressive cup form and the fact that the Poles have already knocked out the much stronger Karabakh, I think the visitors will not lose and will advance in regulation time.
