Arab star redemption? I also had higher financial offers, but I took into account other things, says Kadlec
The Premier League used to rival La Liga, but today the Arab competition is the English league’s biggest rival in the transfer market. The tug-of-war for stars from Europe is at its most intense now and if it pulls Kylian Mbappé with it, nothing will be impossible.

If any of the last ten transfer seasons is specific and different, it is definitely the current one. Partly because of Messi’s departure from Europe to Inter Miami, but partly because Saudi clubs are buying up the best footballers in the world at the most intense rate in history.
While previous transfer seasons Arab clubs have bought out a few players, this time they are introducing a big signing every other day. They offer players and their current employers money that European clubs are unable to match.
Some players will happily sacrifice the higher salary, but there are those who will leave at the prime age. Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic has not resisted, with his compatriot and Premier League star Aleksandar Mitrovic being prevented by Fulham. He has declared in protest that he will never play for Fulham again.
“The way I look at it, even though I wasn’t in that situation, I was also transferring somewhere. I have had higher financial offers, but you take into account the other things,” he said on the programme Where the Hare Runs Václav Kadlec.
The former national team striker made his biggest impact in the Czech Republic with Sparta Prague. Then he had a successful start in a foreign engagement, moving to Frankfurt. He also played in the Danish league for Midtjylland. He always left primarily with the vision of playing for top positions and European cups.
If anyone can be understood to leave Europe at the ideal age, it is Africans sending money back to the poorer parts of the black continent. Senegalese Sadio Mané and Kalidou Koulibaly are prime examples in this regard. They both subsidise hospitals in Africa.
“The sports part is important too, it has to fill you up. Of course I understand when a kid from Africa and a big family goes there. I understand Koulibaly, for example,” continued the former national player.
At the moment, Kylian Mbappé is the hottest case. Although it is hard to imagine him leaving Europe with his position, qualities and age, there is absolutely no one like the offer from Arabia and he does not want to continue at PSG. Real Madrid want to wait a year for his contract to expire.
“After all, Mbappé and his children won’t spend it. No one will in another hundred years. I don’t understand this and I don’t like it. But let them go there, of course,” Kadlec added.
