Ansu Fati finally cured! When will he be able to start?
He is hailed by experts as one of the greatest talents of our time, and no wonder. Even at 18 years old, Ansu Fati has already set a lot of footballing records and is one of the best that Barcelona’s offense has to offer. He has now been out for over ten months due to injury.
He is hailed by experts as one of the greatest talents of our time, and no wonder. Even at 18 years old, Ansu Fati has already set a lot of footballing records and is one of the best that Barcelona’s offense has to offer. He has now been out for over ten months due to injury. Soon, however, the starlet originally from Guinea-Bissau could finally return to the field where he belongs.
Ansu Fati, a name well-known to anyone with even a passing interest in what’s going on around football. Still only eighteen years old, the winger has already managed to become the youngest goalscorer in La Liga history during his prolific career and is also the youngest player ever to play for the Catalans.
He was also the youngest to score a goal in European football’s most prestigious competition, the Champions League. These are just a few of the many impressive achievements that the young super-talent has accomplished in his relatively short but very interesting career.
Practically immediately after the start of his career, Fati was included among the biggest and most promising players. The speed at which Fati moves around the pitch with the ball at his feet and his immense footballing intelligence quickly won the hearts of more than just Barcelona fans.
The way he can read the game is something incredible in such a young player. However, these are not the only attributes in which the right-footed striker excels. Ansu also boasts a great ability to pick his spots, especially in the sixteen.
That is why there is no doubt that when he was left lying on the turf after a clash with an opposing defender in a match against Real Betis last November, more than one Barcelona fan gasped. Doctors diagnosed a knee injury in the meniscus area, the initial estimate was four months without football for Fati.
Unfortunately, as is sometimes the case, Fati’s treatment became complicated. As a result, the player had to undergo four surgeries before his condition finally began to improve.
According to new reports from the centre of Catalonia, Fati was recently seen at one of Barcelona’s training sessions and is ready to slowly integrate back into the team.
After 317 days of treatment, it looks like the unpolished diamond could return to the starting lineup as well. The date of his return is set for September 26, when Barcelona will play at home against Levante.
Barcelona are currently having problems in attack, with Serio Agüero, Ousmane Dembélé and now Martin Braithwaite injured. So it would seem that Fati’s return couldn’t have gone better. However, he won’t have it easy at all, as all fans seem to see him as a replacement for Lionel Messi, whose departure left a big hole in Barcelona’s front line.
But what is important is that Fati does not rush his return and that his integration back into the starting line-up is slow and careful. If he were to re-injure himself, it could be fatal for such a young player.
