If any footballer can be said to be a winning talisman, it is definitely Dani Alves. In fact, the Brazilian footballer has already won an incredible 42 trophies in his career. And he still can’t get enough.
At the age of 38, he has accepted a nomination to the Brazilian national team for the Under-23 Olympics, but each national team can call up three players over that age limit, so the Canaries have enlisted the services of 31-year-old goalkeeper Santos, 38-year-old defender Dani Alves and 28-year-old defender Diego Carlos.
As captain, the former Barcelona, Juventus, PSG and Sevilla full-back led his team to the final, where they will play Spain.
In the semi-final against Mexico, after a goalless draw, the match went to penalty kicks, where the Brazilians were more successful, beating their opponents 4-1. In addition, Dani Alves, like a proper captain, took the first penalty, which he converted reliably.
