England international Jack Grealish will be packing his bags after EURO 2020, as after months of speculation he will finally move from Aston Villa to Manchester City, who will pay around £100 million for him, according to ESPN.
Jack Grealish has played his entire professional career at Aston Villa. Recently, however, he has made no secret of his affection for Pep Guardiola and has generally been open to a transfer offer to a club that would take him further in his career.
Manchester City will pay around £100 million for Jack Grealish’s transfer, which would be a new Premier League record.
Alongside Grealish, the Citizens then still have a fallout with Harry Kane and according to reports, this will not affect the English midfielder’s transfer to Manchester.
They have offered £100m for him too, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has rejected the offer, saying he values the star striker at £150m.
In order to ease their budget, Manchester City have reportedly decided to release Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez as part of their summer team rebuild. However, nothing is known about any bids for these players.
As for Aston Villa, they are understandably much more frugal in the transfer market. The Birmingham team brought in Emi Buendía from Norwich in the summer transfer window and also showed an interest in Emile Smith Rowe, but Arsenal rejected a bid worth 25 million.
