Another strong move from Chelsea! After improving results and play, it was decided to sack the coach
After a year at Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino is once again without an engagement. Although the Argentine strategist led the Stamford Bridge side back to the European Cups, he is leaving the club by mutual consent. Who could replace him?

Mauricio Pochettino joined Chelsea last summer. However, he didn’t come at an ideal time as the Blues finished the 2022/23 season in twelfth place with just 44 points.
Pochettino’s return to the British Isles didn’t quite start as he expected. In fact, Chelsea struggled with a huge amount of injuries from the very beginning of the season, and the results understandably reflected that.
However, the west London side were slowly starting to show a lot of progress. Since mid-February, Chelsea have lost only one Premier League game, at Arsenal.
The two-time Champions League winner finished the season in sixth place with 60 points, just five points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. In the event that Manchester United fail to win the FA Cup, Chelsea will play in the Europa League group stage this coming season.
Chelsea has also been relatively successful in domestic cups. In the EFL Cup, it lost to Liverpool in the final after extra time and in the FA Cup, it lost to Manchester City after a goal in the final minutes just outside the final gates.
But even that wasn’t enough for the management to opt to keep Mauricio Pochettino. The fifty-two-year-old coach eventually left after both parties agreed, with differing views on the dynamics of working within the club’s infrastructure to blame.
And who could become Pochettino’s successor? There is speculation about the possible involvement of Sebastian Hoeness, Enzo Maresca or Kieran McKenna. Chelsea are planning to look for young progressive coaches.
