Bayer Leverkusen currently has a very interesting and talented squad, many players are in demand among big European clubs and not all of them can be retained by the German club. However, it can at least make a good profit. For one of their stars, they are asking an astronomical €100 million.
The current third Bundesliga team boasts several interesting players. According to Transfermarkt, four of Leverkusen’s players are now valued at a minimum of 40 million euros. It is not impossible that there will soon be more.
The four include Patrik Schick (40 million, 26 years old), Edmond Tapsoba (40 million, 23 years old), Moussa Diaby (45 million, 22 years old) and Florian Wirtz (70 million, 18 years old).
Tapsoba, Schick and Wirtz are unlikely to go anywhere this summer, however Diaby is already keen to take the next step in his career. He is under contract at Leverkusen until 2025, so the club is not under pressure and can dictate interesting terms if someone wants to buy him.
Bayer want to keep him, however, L’Équipe reports that if an offer of €100 million lands on the table, the German outfit could opt for a transfer.
Leverkusen are said to have a chance of keeping the player only if they qualify for the Champions League. However, it is also questionable whether anyone will be willing to pay the astronomical sum for him.
According to the latest reports, clubs like Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United were interested in Diaby’s services.
The French winger has played 30 competitive games this season, scoring 15 goals and adding 9 assists.
