Another chapter in the great transfer saga: Real Madrid make one last attempt to sign Mbappé! How much is the offer?

The transfer saga surrounding Kylian Mbappé continues. Back in July, it looked like his transfer to Real Madrid was almost a done deal, but a few days ago, information surfaced about an unexpected twist. Now comes the Spanish daily Marca with the information that Real are ready to send a final offer to Paris.

It’s a textbook transfer saga. There has been more than enough written about Mbappé in the past, and the whole situation is a mess. In recent days, the situation has taken an unexpected turn.

After a poor start to the new edition of Ligue 1, the club announced that after positive and constructive negotiations with Mbappé, they can include the player back in the squad.

PSG had in fact dropped him from the squad as a result of issues related to this transfer saga. In July, it already appeared that Mbappé would head to Real Madrid later this transfer window when he refused to sign a new contract at PSG.

Moreover, the champion of the last edition of the French top flight believes, and indeed the world’s well-known media spoke about it during the summer, that Mbappé has agreed on concrete terms with Real and if not this year, he will leave next year.

After all, the French international has only one year left on his contract, whereupon it’s pretty clear here. Either PSG will sell him and Mbappé will leave or scenario number 2 will happen – he will leave as a free agent next year.

The native of Paris should thus start the next game against Toulouse. French daily L’Équipe also reported that the 24-year-old superstar will stay at PSG until the end of this season. Sky Sports is reportedly expecting him to sign a new contract.

With these reports, all speculation about his departure to Real have understandably died down. However, it didn’t take long for Marca to come up with the next chapter in this transfer saga.

According to the Spanish newspaper and the German newspaper Bild, the Madrid giant is making one last attempt to sign him. Real will reportedly send an offer of €120 million at the end of August, just before the summer transfer window closes.

However, the proposed amount is lower than the one PSG demanded (150 million euros). The Parisian big club is thus at a crossroads. Sell Mbappé now or let him leave for free next year? That’s what’s at stake here…
