He left Sparta after a series of lost games on the bench. Many fans considered the transfer a success, given the Norwegian defender’s low game load.
In the match against Aue, Vindheim was trusted by coach Dimitros Grammozis for the first time and he was in the starting lineup.
He did not disappoint. He did get a yellow card early in the match, but he atoned for it twice. In the 38th minute he increased the score to 2:0 after a goal by Terodde. He even assisted Danny Latza’s goal in the second half.
If Vindheim continues his performance, he will not let his rival Reinhold Rantfl back in the game. A permanent transfer to a German team that has an option on Vindheim is also in play.
