Real Madrid management is running out of patience. According to the Spanish media, if the team fails at the Club World Cup, there will be speculation about the future of Carlo Ancelotti. Anything other than the title could mean sacking.

Real Madrid are currently in crisis. The roster is full of injured players for whom the Spanish club does not have adequate replacements. The roster has to be made up of young players without sufficient match experience.

The injured currently include Thibaut Courtois, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, Lucas Vázquez, Eden Hazard or Karim Benzema. Most of them are players who would normally feature in the starting line-up.

So coach Carlo Ancelotti has to glue the line-up as much as possible. However, due to the small rotation of players, there are not enough substitutes with enough match experience. So Ancelotti can at least be happy with the return of Carvajal, Alaba and Tchouaméni from the sideline.

Of course, this is also reflected in Real Madrid’s current results. The club is second in the Spanish league, but in recent weeks it has fallen eight points behind leader Barcelona.

The club’s management does not want to let this go. Real’s officials believe that the club has enough quality players to overcome the previous poor results. So they have decided to concentrate on the ongoing Club World Cup.

Real Madrid must absolutely succeed there and the only success is the title. Anything else would be a failure for the management and would spark a debate about Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the club.

As reported by Spanish newspaper Relevo, the club’s management will look for another coach in the event of failure at the Club World Cup. If Ancelotti wants to remain on the bench of the Spanish club, he absolutely must succeed.

At the Club World Cup, Real Madrid are seeded for the semi-finals, where they will face Egypt’s Al Ahly. The match will take place on 8 February and if Real progress, they will face the better of the Flamengo – Al-Hilal pairing.
