Cristiano Ronaldo had the first chance of the match in the eighth minute, but he headed over. On the other side, Arnaut Danjuma of the Netherlands scored, but just missed. Paco Alcacer then had a great chance, but David de Gea made an excellent save.
The Spanish playmaker had another great opportunity in the 30th minute, but sent the ball just wide of the left post. Yeremi Pina scored again in stoppage time, but de Gea intervened and the game was scoreless.
Alcacer scored quickly after the change of sides, clearing Danjuma’s cross into the net in the 53rd minute. In the 60th minute it was 1-1. Alex Telles’s beautiful volley after a standard situation went to the back post.
In the 84th minute, the Red Devils survived the death. First, a close-range shot was parried by de Gea, then the finish was blocked by Victor Lindelof. Scott McTominay had three points in stoppage time, but only hit the centre of the net.
In the fifth minute of the setup, the whole stadium roared. Cristiano Ronaldo kept his cool in a messy situation and sent the ball into the net. Manchester takes all three points.
