Liverpool hosted Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup on Thursday night. They could have gone into the rematch in a better position, but in the end they only managed a goalless draw. Takumi Minamino burned a great chance.

The semi-final of the Carabao Cup offered an interesting battle between Liverpool and Arsenal. In the first match played at Anfield, everything went in the home team’s favour from the opening whistle.

In the ninth minute Arsenal had to make their first substitution due to injury, and in the 24th minute Granit Xhaka was sent off after his foul stopped a very promising break.
