A very strange match took place on Sunday 28th August in the 1st class of Pilsen region. The home team, for which the players did not play, but artificially registered players, was defeated 0::27 by Chlumčany. But all this was due to protests against the owner.
The footballers of FK ROBSTAV Preštice B did not start their match in the 1st class of the Pilsen region against Chlumčany.
The reason is a protest against the owner of the club. The club has already had two matches abandoned this season and another one is out of the question.
In case of a third suspension, the Preštice reserve would be excluded from the competition and the club would also be fined a hefty fine.
The players refused to start the match and Preštice hastily got new players. The club brought two of them in the week before the match, three players had their registration renewed and the rest never had any registration, as they never played football competitively.
However, according to the latest information, the players of the original squad were ready to play the match, but on the condition that the owner was willing to negotiate the transfer of the licence to the original TJ Preštice.
Ultimately, however, he told them that they were no longer needed as the club had managed to get other players for the match. So the owner clearly has football somewhere at the bottom of his list of priorities, as the TJ Preštice football club’s statement also suggests.
“The committee of the football club TJ Preštice distances itself from the organization of the match 1. A class against Chlumčany, in which the management of FK ROBSTAV Preštice a. s. prevented the B-team players from entering the match and instead of them were artificially registered players (non-football players) who came to play this shameful match for a reward of 500,- CZK / person! We apologize to all fans of Preštice football!”
