Jiri Prochazka is preparing for a title fight in the best MMA organization in the world and unfortunately his preparation will be prolonged. The fight with champion Glover Teixeira is postponed to a new date.
The Moravian fighter is preparing for the fight of his life. He was supposed to fight for the title at UFC 274. No doubt many fans had May 7 prominently on their calendars. But unfortunately, the fight has been postponed.
In fact, welterweight champion Glover Teixeira revealed in an interview with Canal Combate that the fight will take place at the next numbered event, UFC 275.
UFC 275 is scheduled for June 11, and it has not yet been determined in which city the tournament will take place. This will give Jiri Prochazka an unscheduled extension to his preparation.
Teixeira did not reveal to the media the reason for the postponement. The question is how it will affect Procházka.
After all, he has a month more time to prepare and improve his ground skills, but at the same time the extended preparation must be physically demanding. However, the Moravian wrestler has already confirmed in the past that long preparations are good for him.
Procházka’s last appearance in the cage was last May when he defeated Dominick Reyes. He is now 2-0 in the UFC, and hasn’t lost since 2015.
