David Dvorak has another fight in the UFC. He will be in action on June 11 at the numbered UFC 289 event in Vancouver. But a few days before the bout, he has to deal with complications. His opponent is changing.

Currently our second biggest star in the UFC will be in action on June 11th at UFC 289. David Dvorak is currently the organization’s number ten man in the flyweight division and has had two tough fights that he didn’t make it through.

Last March, he had his ten-year win streak snapped by Matheus Nicolau, who defeated him on points in a close fight. This was followed by a fight with the dangerous Manel Kapp, who also took the Czech grave digger in a three-round battle on points.

Despite the defeats, Dvorak retained his place in the top ten of his weight class, and he should have been given the opportunity to fight for a better position. His opponent in Vancouver was to be Matt Schnell, the number eight ranked fighter in the division. But Schnell pulled out a few days before the tournament due to injury.

However, journalist Christopher Reive was quick to report that the UFC had already found a replacement. This is already a former champion of the Australian EMMA organization, who will make his debut in the biggest organization in the world against the Czech prospect.

Steve Erceg was already scheduled to fight Clayton Carpenter at an unnumbered event in May, but the fight was cancelled. So now he will have a tough debut, but it means a big opportunity.

Dvorak always likes to prepare tactically for fights in detail, so the change doesn’t exactly play in his favor. Moreover, he is in an awkward position. He can only lose, while his opponent can mainly gain. Of course, we are referring in particular to his position in the rankings.

The gravedigger will be under pressure. He wanted to atone for two defeats in a row, he certainly had a winning gameplan for Schnell, which he will now have to change.

Erceg is a submission specialist. He has lost only once in his career in 2017. Otherwise, he has a 9-1 record and has won six times on the submission. Dvorak now has a record of 20-5.
