An engagement in Turkey? I have a bit of a dispute with the management, so I’m just training. It all depends on the club’s management, said Simon Deli

Now thirty-one years old, Simon Deli is based in Turkey, but in the past he worked for both Prague S and left a big mark on Slavia in particular. Is there a return option in play? Deli is unhappy in his current engagement, as he admitted in an interview with the Slavia website.

Simon Deli is currently under contract at the Turkish club Adana Demirspor. He has been there for a year and a half and has been playing sporadically this season.

“It’s true that I don’t play much in Adana Demirspor now. I’m glad that I played at least for the national team, it always makes me happy, I was there for two wins.

But as you say, zero in the new season, it’s not because of injury or fitness, I’m keeping myself as fit as possible, I’m ready. I have a bit of a dispute with the management, so I’m just training. But that’s what football brings…” he said in an interview for the Slavie website.

He will probably look for a new engagement in the winter, after all, he has a lot to offer at this stage of his career. But everything will depend on the club where he has a contract until the summer of 2024.

“I’m healthy, I’m training and I’m ready. Everything depends on the club’s management, I don’t know who exactly made that decision. I’m still doing what I have to do, I respect my contract. I respect my teammates, the coaches and everyone at the club,” he added.

Already in the summer there were talks about his return to Eden. But unfortunately it didn’t work out for him then and he had to stay in Turkey. “I really wanted to return to Slavia again, it was discussed at the end of the summer. I spoke with some people from the club and my agent, but in the end it didn’t work out for several reasons.

I won’t specify them. I’m sorry, but maybe I haven’t had the last word in Slavia yet. But now I’m just focusing on football and we’ll see what comes in the future,” Deli finished.

Is there a chance for his winter return? Rather not, after all the club currently wants to target younger players, whom it can build into the team and then sell at a bargain.
